Lafayette

When Ascent Contracting first assessed this 1915 Denver mansion, it featured a traditional, compartmentalized layout with multiple staircases connecting the first and second floors and numerous small rooms.

The homeowners wanted a more open, expansive main level, including a larger kitchen. Our team undertook significant structural work, reinforcing the second story and attic with steel beams to support the new opening between the kitchen and dining room. This renovation was completed in partnership with interior designer Shari Cahill of Plase Design, ensuring a seamless blend of structural innovation and refined interior design.

Since the initial remodel, the homeowners have returned to Ascent twice—first for a sunroom renovation and later to remodel the basement. Their continued trust is a testament to our commitment, craftsmanship, and dedication to preserving and enhancing this century-old Denver brick home.
