The Process

At Ascent Contracting, we offer two paths to bring your vision to life—Design & Build for those starting from scratch, and Build-Only for clients ready to break ground with completed plans.

Design & Build

If you don’t yet have an architect, no problem—Ascent Contracting can help coordinate your architecture team. Through our Project Development Agreements, we work with you to define the scope, assemble the right professionals, and create deliverables tailored to your project.

Our pre-construction services may include:

  • Asbestos testing & removal

  • Budget estimates & cost modeling
  • Preliminary scheduling

We guide you through early decisions and logistics so the build phase is set up for success—with clear expectations, defined terms, and a team that’s aligned from the start.

Build Only

If your architectural plans are complete and you’re ready to break ground, our team can step in as your dedicated construction partner. We’ll review your drawings, provide a detailed estimate, and develop a clear schedule to keep things moving smoothly.

We collaborate closely with your architect and designer to ensure your vision is executed exactly as planned—with craftsmanship, clear communication, and no surprises.

This is where ideas take shape. We collaborate with your architect and designer—or provide recommendations if you don’t yet have one—to finalize layouts, materials, and finishes.

Our in-house guidance helps you make confident decisions on everything from fixtures and flooring to cabinetry and colors. With our support, your design choices won’t just look beautiful, they’ll also enhance functionality, flow, and long-term value.

Scheduling & Management

Once plans are set, we map out a detailed construction schedule, complete with Gantt chart timelines and milestone dates, so you know exactly what’s happening and when. You’ll never feel left in the dark.

Every project is led by a dedicated project manager—your single point of contact—who oversees the day-to-day, coordinates with trades, architects, and designers, and ensures every phase moves forward smoothly.

Construction & Quality Oversight

When construction begins, our layered quality control process ensures no detail is overlooked. We conduct ongoing check-ins and progress reviews to keep work on track and answer any questions. You’ll be updated consistently, with opportunities to provide feedback and address concerns at every stage.

Finishing Touches & Final Walkthroughs

The final stage is all about perfection. We’ll guide you through the last selections, ensuring finishes fully align with your style and expectations.
