This 1953 midcentury ranch in Denver previously had a choppy layout, with a tight front entry, closed-off dining room, limited natural light, and low ceilings.
Ascent Contracting partnered with Cult Creative on the architecture and design to transform the home into a light-filled, open-concept entertainer’s dream for a family of four.
The renovation included raising the living room ceiling and adding wood beams that extend seamlessly to the newly built backyard patio, demolition of multiple interior walls to create a flowing entry, living, and dining space, a complete powder bathroom gut and remodel, a reimagined butler’s pantry, refinished flooring, a new front door, and updated stair rails. The result is a modernized midcentury ranch that combines classic charm with functional, open, and inviting spaces—perfect for indoor-outdoor living and family gatherings.
