WINDERMERE:

This Littleton farmhouse was built in 1982 with an antique style that included clawfoot tubs, glass doorknobs and wide wood plank flooring.  Our team was honored to renovate the kitchen, flooring, fireplace and stairs.

The kitchen previously had low ceiling soffits, 1980s cabinetry and a smaller footprint. Ascent moved a wall to enlarge the kitchen and create room for an 11’ kitchen island and removed the soffits for new cabinetry that now reaches the ceiling.  Taking renovation inspiration from an English sheep farm where the family works each summer, the owners brought back hand-painted ceramic cabinet knobs from England for the coffee bar.  Another wow feature is the custom solid walnut range hood which Ascent principal Justin designed and fabricated using mitered edges and board and batten trim.

The project also included a refaced fireplace and limestone surround and hearth. To finish, beautiful new hardwood floors with engineered acacia hardwoods throughout the entire main level and a rebuilt front stairwell redesigned to emphasize the open area between the kitchen and living/dining room areas.
