BOW MAR:

This Bow Mar renovation project, completed in partnership with architecture firm Tomecek Studios, began as an interior remodel of a portion of the home with a master-suite addition. As the teams explored the options with the clients, the scope of the work grew to become a full scrape and new build. The Ascent team took off the entire roof to give the home a roof structure that felt grander with vaulted ceilings everywhere: Today, the home has handsome 9.5-foot-walls with sloped ceilings that extend 15 feet at their peaks.

Through pre-construction work and 3D modeling, Ascent developed boots-on-the-ground-level perspective from the architectural and structural drawings, which allowed our team to see precisely how the roof trusses and steel frames would come together; such work enabled us to pre-order all structural materials, including custom windows and doors, and know exactly how everything would integrate within 1/8 of an inch.

What was once a low-ceilinged, 3,500-square-foot home that didn’t serve the family’s needs is now 6,200 square feet that includes a custom, eye-catching wine room that displays bottles handsomely on the main level; a chef-grade kitchen; a bright, airy living room; a basement fit for family hang-out time; and a gorgeous master suite.
